Saddle Care
After each use the leather should be wiped with a warm, slightly damp cloth to remove sweat and/or dust. It should then be cleaned thoroughly with a high quality glycerine saddle soap. After cleaning, store the saddle on a purpose made rack, as this will help maintain its shape after use.
The use of super saturating oils should be avoided as this can breakdown the stitching and cause premature foam breakdown in the seat, knee pad area and knee blocks.
The Varilock™ Adjustable Mechanism should periodically be oiled. As you pull the leather velcro flap open to expose the mechanism, add 1 or 2 drops of an all purpose oil into the two ports. It is also recommended at this time to open and close the mechanism so the oil can penetrate the gears. Make certain the gears are aligned and securely closed to avoid chipping the teeth of the mechanism.
