The cheekpieces buckle on both
sides for maximum adjustability
and comfort.  An added benefit
of this arrangement is that it allows
the poll pressure occasioned by the
tightening of the noseband, to be
distributed over a much greater
area of the horse's poll.

In addition to the standard adjust-
ment of the throatlatch, noseband
and cheekpieces, the browband
is adjustable and the modern 
"jawband" style nose band with
detachable flash, is padded at 
the back.
